Absolutely; we are keen to encourage coach trips and groups. There is a coach drop off point directly opposite the entrance that offers easy access to the site. All day coach parking is just 10 minutes’ walk from the festival site at Vere Road Car Park, CT10 1JF https://w3w.co/luxury.divisions.vanish.
Coach drivers, with a pre-booked group, will be offered a voucher for lunch and two soft drinks to be redeemed at the Food Festival site. For further information please contact: info@broadstairsfoodfestival.org.uk
The Stagecoach bus Loop service runs regular buses to Broadstairs, the nearest stop is at the Baptist Church or King Edward Avenue, both less than 5 mins walk away from the festival site. Broadstairs Railway Station is a 15-minute walk away through Broadstairs High Street.
The event is free to enter. If you would to like to support us with a small donation, Pop-a-Pound buckets are available at the entrances and around the site.
This may vary per event but around 100 stalls of food produce, home/lifestyle stalls, hot and cold food and refreshment bars.
Regrettably, no. To maintain high standard of hygiene in areas where fresh produce is on display and hot food prepared, we restrict animal access to Registered Assistance dogs only.
The event is outdoors and on grass. Matted flooring runs the length of the covered walkways. However, you will need to be able to make your way over grass at the site entrances and between the marquees. Whilst there may be pathways, there are no hard-standing paths around the event site itself so some areas of site may be tricky to traverse in adverse weather conditions.
We are always looking for new, quality producers. If you are interested in this, please email Info@broadstairsfoodfestival.org.uk with details of your product and the town in which your business is registered.
Most traders take cards but best to have some cash on you.
We don’t have cash machines on site but they are available in the High Street, a few minutes’ walk away.
We invite traders who can provide a wide variety of produce for all: vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Individual traders will be happy to advise you regarding allergens in their products.
No, we would politely ask that you do not bring your own food and drink. We have some fantastic products available at the festival, so please leave your picnics at home and give our exhibitors a whirl. If you have specialist dietary requirements or have babies to feed, your own food is accepted.
Due to licensing laws, it is strictly prohibited to bring your own alcohol. Only alcohol purchased from our traders, who are licensed, may be consumed during the event. We ask that you respect the licensing laws.
For safety reasons, glass bottles are also not permitted at any of our events, other than purchased for home consumption. These should not be opened at the event.
Visitors found to be bringing in and/or consuming their own alcohol and/or consuming alcohol purchased from a trader that is selling for home consumption may be asked to leave the festival’s site.
Broadstairs Food Festival operates a Challenge 25 Policy and a zero-tolerance underage drinking policy. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 and are unable to produce ID evidencing that you are 18 years old or over, when trying to purchase alcohol, regrettably you will not be served.
